Shirley McCollom, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on, Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 while at home surrounded by family. She was born on May 17, 1938 in Beloit, Kansas to B.H. & Ruth (Dean) Bulthaup.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, Robert "Bob" of 59 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church for 70 years.

Besides being an avid sports enthusiast, especially the Royals, Shirley was proudest of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She graduated from Concordia High School and NCK Technical College LPN program.

She is survived by her four daughters: Sarah (Gary) Holbert, Concordia, KS.; Susan (Tim) Dorman, Burlington, CO.; Sandra (Scott) Utz, Englewood, CO.; Joanna (Bob) Runge, Newton, KS.; Her 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren: Amanda (Chadd) Blackwood, Ian, Peyton, Isabelle and Sawyer, Miltonvale, KS.; Adam (Lacy) Holbert, Deekon and Rowdee, Concordia, KS.; Bill (Patti) Weaver, Kreden, Sage, Graceyn, Aurora, KS.; Chris (Lauren) Dorman, Kenley, Keagen, Benjamin, Burlington, CO.; Meridith (Craig) Soehner, Audrey, Holden, Chloe, Emmett, Wray, CO.; Chanci (Adam) Dopudja, Tristan, Amelia, Sammamish, WA.; Samantha (Jeremy) Johnson, Lailah, Jaelynn, Aurora, CO.; Brad Utz, Englewood, CO.; Brian (Jodi) Runge, Lily and Owen, Newton, KS.; Erin (Manny) Barocio, Elle, Newton, KS.; Brett (Megan) Runge, Pittsburg, KS.; Emily Runge, Hillsdale, MI; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Kocher & brother, Gene Bulthaup.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Sat., Aug. 29, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Concordia with Rev. Tessa Zehring & Pastor Brett Runge officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The casket will remain closed and friends may sign the register book from 1 pm to 9 pm with the family greeting friends from 6-7 pm, Fri., Aug. 28, 2015 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
