Sondra S. Hyman was born on Oct. 31, 1953 in Randall, KS to B.F. "Ben" & Irene (Russell) Goff. She passed from this life at her home in Glen Elder, KS on Wed., Oct. 20, 2010 at the age of 56. Sondra graduated from Jewell High School. She then attended Beloit Vo-Tech and received her LPN and then graduated from Cloud County Community College as an RN. Sondra married Phillip Hyman on Feb. 4, 1972 at St. John's Catholic Church in Beloit, KS. Sondra was the Director of Nursing at Mt. Joseph Senior Village until 2005. They moved to Pittsburg, KS where she was the Director of Nursing at Via Christi Village until illness forced her to retire and they returned to Glen Elder. She is survived by her husband: Phillip Hyman, Glen Elder, KS; daughter: Lori Tillery & fiancé Chris Inman, Beloit, KS; sisters: Yvonne Walls & husband Dale, Elizabeth, CO & Brenda Goff, Tulsa, OK; brothers: Curtis Goff, Beloit, KS & Rod Goff & wife Kim, Tescott, KS & grandsons: Jerry Herrman, Valley Falls, KS & Jordon Herrman, Beloit, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents & sister, Erma Goff. It was Sondra's wishes to be cremated and there will be no visitation. The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at 10 AM at the First Christian Church in Beloit, KS with Rev. Dan Daniels officiating. The family suggests memorials to the Sondra Hyman Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
