Thelma L. Schoenbrunn was born on November 13, 1920 in rural Talmo, KS to Maurice M. & Mary E. (Morgan) Fate. She passed from this life on Wed., Oct. 28, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 88. Thelma graduated from Belleville High School and later Brown Mackie College in Business. She married George Schoenbrunn in California in 1952. They returned to Concordia in 1983. She is survived by her sisters: Gladys Boyce & husband Calvin, Salina, KS & Bonnie Beardsley, Manhattan, KS & several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William & Merle Fate & sister, Maxine Malloy. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at the Gotland Cemetery, Concordia, KS with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 5 PM Thursday and after 9 AM until service time on Friday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Mt. Joseph Senior Village in care of the funeral home.
