Trevor Lee Gennette, 26, passed on January 3rd, 2010, at his residence in Manhattan Kansas. He was born August 9th 1983 at St. Joseph Hospital Concordia, Kansas to Todd L. Gennette and Diana L. Stupka. He attended Concordia public schools and graduated in 2002. Trevor participated in a variety of sports including football, wrestling, hunting and baseball. Football was by far his favorite sport and he holds several Concordia High School receiving records. He was currently employed by Stupka Construction Concordia, Kansas where he was recently promoted to foreman. As the older brother of Ty and Danae, he influenced there lives and helped make them who they are today. Trevor loved being surrounded by family and friends. The recent knowledge of welcoming a child, with girlfriend Katie Hale, filled him with immense joy. He was always a happy and upbeat person and leaves behind many friends and family. His great attitude and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Leon and Ila Gennette and Charles Weisphal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-9 PM with a vigil service at 6:30 PM, Sun., Jan. 10, 2010 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at the St. Concordia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund established for Katie Hale to assist with the finances of their child.
