Obituary

Ummahan "Zerrin" Anderson , born July 1, 1934 of Agenda, died March 8, 2013. She is survived by her husband Donald ("Bud" or "Andy") Anderson, and her 3 children: two sons, Mustafa "Ted" Akyol of Dallas, TX and his wife Valentina and Kadir "Randy" Akyol of San Antonio, TX and his wife Linda, a daughter Gulsans "Lori" Hurd of Aurora, CO, 5 grand children, Billy, Michael, Aysean Zerrin, Michele Ayse and Valentina Zerrin and two great grand children, Christopher and Madison.

Zerrin was born in Milas , Turkey . A mother of 3 and a nurse's aid, she was united in marriage to her husband on August 12 th , 1965. As an air force wife she travelled with her husband as he was stationed all over the world, finally settling in America . On July 3, 1985, Zerrin's long time dream of becoming an American citizen was realized. She was a proud member of American Legion Auxiliary of Concordia for 26 years. She loved playing bingo, quilting, sewing, casino, and fishing. She is remembered as an avid cook, a woman of faith, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, and most of all…a loving and devoted wife of 47 years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in the Agenda United Methodist Church in Agenda. Interment will follow in the Agenda Cemetery , followed by a luncheon for friends and family in the church basement. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 PM Monday, March 11, 2013 in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the Agenda United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
