Velma I. Garlow, 103 years of age from Minden, NE died on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Bethany Home in Minden.  Velma was born on November 26, 1906 in Concordia, KS to H. D. and Minnie (Fitzgarrald) Godfrey.  Velma married J. Ray Garlow on April 3, 1927.  They moved to Lincoln.  They lived in Lincoln until moving to Minden in 1994 and lived at the Bethany Home.  Ray died in 1999.  Velma was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Keating of Fort Collins, CO and Carol Gorby and her husband, Randy of fort Collins, CO; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, and grandson, Michael Keating.  Bruial services were held at 10 AM, Mon, Nov. 1, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS.  A memorial fund has been established in her name.
