Virgie M. Baldwin, age 96, died Sat., Sept. 20, 2014 at Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater, KS. She was born on March 28, 1918 in Garden City, MO to Virgil W. & Mary M. (Wheeler) Reid.

She married Henry W. Baldwin on June 21, 1942 in Lawrence, KS and he preceded her on Dec. 11, 1962. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde. She was a Clyde area resident for 40 years and was involved with various charity works and her church.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Baldwin (Sandra), Kingman & John Baldwin (fiancé Gina), Garnett; son in law, Ron Crawford, Topeka; 5 grandchildren & 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her husband; parents; 2 daughters & a son.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, Tues., Sept. 23, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde with Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Burial will follow at the Minneapolis Cemetery, Minneapolis. Visitation will be form 1-8 pm with a Vigil at 6:30 pm, Mon. at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. The family suggests memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, KS 66938 or the Donor's Choice in care of the funeral home.
