Wayne Seim, age 82, died Fri., March 21, 2014 at his home in Concordia, KS. He was born on Feb. 15, 1932 in New Cambria, KS to Grant & Beulah (Louise) Seim.

He graduated from Bennington High School and served as a Staff Sargent in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. He married Virginia Cote on July 28, 1960 in Belleville, KS. Wayne was a technician for AT&T for over 40 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening. He also assisted his wife, Virginia, by volunteering at Mt. Joseph Senior Community, Concordia.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, Concordia; daughter, Katherine Seim Snyder & hus. Tom, Topeka; son, Mark Seim & wife Cathy, Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Eric Seim, St. Louis, MO, Derek & Anthonie Sndyer, Topeka & great grandchildren, Kyler & Karsyn Seim, St. Louis, MO & Alexis Snyder, Topeka, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

It was Wayne's wishes to be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am, Thurs., March 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post #76 & VFW Post #588 will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 9 pm with a Vigil service at 6 pm, Wed., March 26, 2014, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the church or the American Heart Assoc. in care of the funeral home.
