Wilcid "Wil" E. Michaud was born on August 4, 1921 in St. Joseph, KS to John B. & Georgiana (Arpin) Michaud. He passed from this life on Monday, July 6, 2009 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village in Concordia, KS at the age of 87. Wil attended country grade school. He married Edna Mae Cote on Feb. 22, 1944 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Aurora, KS. Wil was a lifelong area resident and farmer. He also measured wheat for the ASCS office for 10 years. Wil was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, KS and a current member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde. He also was a member of Moose Lodge #1428 & the Knights of Columbus. He was a board member for the Clifton Farmers Co-Op for several years. He is survived by his wife, Edna Mae Michaud, Clyde, KS; sons, Patrick Michaud & wife Sheryl, Topeka, KS, Bernard Michaud & wife Kathy, Wamego, KS, Dean Michaud & partner Lori Carter, Clyde, KS, Leland Michaud & wife Mona, Clay Center, KS, Alan Michaud & wife Cindy, Concordia, KS & Joey Michaud & partner Beth Elam, St. Louis, MO; daughters, Judy Baxa & husband Michael, Belleville, KS & Lori Fagan & husband Greg, Topeka, KS; 19 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Micheal Michaud; granddaughter, Jami Michaud; parents; 7 brothers, 3 sisters & a grandson in law, John Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 10, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, KS with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 8 PM with vigil services and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 6:30 PM, Thurs. at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. Burial will follow the services at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph, KS. The family suggests memorials to the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Fund or Diocesan Seminarians in care of the funeral home.
