William H. Buss was born on April 3, 1917 in Cloud County, KS to Henry G. & Louise C. (Winteroth) Buss. He passed from this life on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 92. William attended Nelson Center Schools. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He farmed in Cloud County on his parents farm all his life. He was a member of American Legion Post #76 & the First Presbyterian Church, Concordia. He is survived by his brother: Keith Buss, Concordia, KS; sister: Minnie Sherman, Raytown, MO; several nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews & great great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew, Gideon, Raymond, Carl Buss & an infant brother & sister, Mabel Buss. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church, Concordia with Rev. Helen Rose Moore officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 9 PM, Wed., Sept. 16, 2009 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors by American Legion Post #76 & VFW Post #588 will follow the services at Nelson Center Cemetery, Huscher, KS. The family suggests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
