William "Bill" F. Henderson was born on July 14, 1935 in Beloit, Kansas to Clarence and Mag Krone Henderson. He passed from this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at his residence in Bison, Kansas at the age of 72. H e graduated from Minneapolis High School in Minneapolis, KS. He served in the US Army. He married Sharon Lanoue on Feb. 1, 1959 in Concordia, KS. She survives the home. He drove a truck for Boogaarts for 10 years before he and Sharon operated the Montgomery Wards Store and later Henderson Sales for 15 years. He also was a small plane commercial pilot. He loved to fly and was a jack of all trades. He was a carpenter and enjoyed cabinet work. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion and also served as a Scout Leader. He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home, sons, Bryan Henderson and wife Georgia, Hutchinson, Kansas, Brad Henderson and wife Meg, Brush, Colorado, Bruce Henderson, Bison, Kansas, brothers, Donald Henderson, Belleville, Kansas, Jerry Henderson, Bennington, Kansas, Steve Henderson, Enid, Oklahoma, Alfred Henderson, Appalachia, Virginia, sisters, Gloria Henderson, Randolph, Vermont, Mary Alice Wilcox, Watts, Oklahoma and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Albert and an infant sister. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 9 PM, Friday, December 7, 2007 and the family will greet friends from 7-8 PM all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588. The family suggests memorials to the Rush County EMS, LaCrosse, Kansas.
