Winston E. Shrader was born on Oct. 30, 1934 in Concordia, KS to Raymond E. and Edla M. (Nelson) Shrader.  He passed from this life on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, KS at the age of 74. H e graduated from Concordia High School Class of 1952. He married Janet Gile on April 20, 1958 in Concordia, KS. He worked for the Cloud County Highway Dept. for 35 years as a Surveyor and later as the Highway Administrator. He retired in 1997. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as choir director and President of the Trustees. He served on the Frank Carlson Library Board. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sharing the game of golf with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife: Janet Shrader, Concordia, KS; sons: Gary Shrader & wife LeeAnn, Garden City, KS &  Brad Shrader & wife Kristy, Norway, KS; brother: Raymond "Gene" Shrader & wife Pat, Dodge City, KS; his grandchildren: Lexi Billinger, Manhattan, KS, Brandon & Ryan Shrader, Norway, KS.  He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, Nov. 3, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, KS with Pastor L. Dean Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2-9 PM with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the services in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia Junior Golf or the Frank Carlson Library.
