Cherylyn (Cheryl) Joy Dexter, age 72, entered into rest on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia,Kansas.  She was born on October 30, 1949 in New Orleans, LA. To Albert J. and Joy L. Sindibaldi.

She married George H. Dexter, on December 28, 1974. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2017.

Cheryl graduated High School in New Orleans.

Cheryl was a very caring mother and a homemaker.

She had a passion for taking care of all animals especially her beloved cats.

Cheryl is survived by her stepson, Michael (Balari) Dexter of Concordia, KS; stepdaughter, Sylvia Dexter of Clifton, KS; Her four grandchildren, Melissa, Ashley, Zach and Jared; ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Henry Dexter, daughter, Angela Groves, a grandson, Addai Dexter, a stepdaughter, Valerie Woodall.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 27, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m.- 10 :00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas with Pastor Jonathan Peppers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
